A Quick Note on the Timeline
This story is an alternate universe. In terms of Sentinel canon, Predator is set in 1998, which would have been during the series if this were a canon fic. At the end of Predator (still in '98) Jim went to prison for murder. Season one of Alias is set in 2001/2002, and season two a year later. But there's a canon gap of three years between seasons two and three, which means season three takes place in 2005/2006. So the finale of Alias can be assumed to take place during the summer of 2008: i.e. at the same time as Perspectives in this AU series. [The events of Alias canon are not relevant to this fic except who's alive and who's not: this is just as a point of reference.]
