Reading Sullivan might actually make you feel more hopeful. As you may know, he's a gay British Tory living in the US -- and Catholic and (same-sex) married, so he admits he's kind of Contradictions R Us. He's now *really* depressed at the Conservatives' showing, because he doesn't think they're going to win outright. This depresses him because he's a paleoconservative at heart, but also because the Tories are considerably to the left of the American Republican Party, and he was hoping that they would be a good example for the American right.

But he also posted this picture, of Cameron in his Oxford club -- along with Boris f'ing Johnson, doing his best Young Lucius Malfoy impersonation. ewwww.
