People in my home town are crazy

Of course, I've always known this :)

Even so, taking a pet snake with you while shopping is a whole new level of crazy.

Or maybe it's Tesco that's the problem. A few months back there were headlines about people being banned from Tesco stores for shopping in their pyjamas. Or something. If you're going to build a 24-hour store in the middle of a residential area that seems like something you should expect to happen.

But I do understand drawing the line at live snakes.

(Not that I have anything against snakes...even after the recent Poppy incident. Just, you know, in their place.)

Weekend plans....

A week from today I'll be in B'ham, for Roadhouse con.

I need to keep that firmly in mind because I have to get through this weekend first. Mum, Sis and the Useless Fiance are leaving on Saturday to visit my godmother for the weekend. This leaves me housebound as I've got the dogs. That's not so bad, but because I'll be at the con next weekend I really wanted to see The Girl Who Played With Fire tomorrow - chances are by the next chance I get to see a film, it will no longer be showing. Sis hasn't told me what time they're leaving: if it's late, I could still catch the early showing...but at this rate I won't find out until morning.

Ah, well.

The rest of my plan for the weekend is writing. I have my SPN-Jessica fic to finish and Inception fics to work on.

And, as I'll have the kitchen to myself for once, cooking. It'll be wonderful to cook and eat something that doesn't come ready-made.
