Hey, Mel. I saw this and thought of you :)
My Kindle broke. I've had the darn thing less than six months! Other than, you know, being worried about the longevity of these things, what's really frustrating is I was about six pages from the end of a murder mystery novel when it happened! On the bright side, it's still under warranty and Amazon customer service didn't even quibble - they're sending a replacement, express. Really excellent customer service...such a novelty!
I've been re-watching Ally McBeal again. Usually I drag those DVDs out when I'm depressed. I don't think it's that, this time. I've been down, but no more than usual. Still, Ally always makes me worry for my mental health. This time around, though, I kept recognising actors from othe contexts. The guy who plays the FBI agent in White Collar - he's in one ep as a guy with a brain tumour who killed his wife because he thought she was a football (it makes sense in context, honest). And Zachariah from Supernatural was in a couple of eps as a lawyer. Albert Hall has a recurring role as a judge and I've spotted him in a lot of other shows. 24, I think, and some other stuff in the cop/crime genre. And, of course, Peter MacNicol was in Numb3rs and is now in Grey's Anatomy.
You know, around Christmas it was really, really cold out - we got as low as -12 overnight at one point. And I was fine. I didn't feel cold. But now it's 4 degrees according to my electronic widget, and I'm freezing. I think I'll make some hot chocolate and snuggle in bed...with a real book while I'm waiting for my kindle!
