Writing update

I've been sick for the past week. Oh, nothing serious, it's just a cold, but unusually for me this one hit me hard. Usually I shake them off in a day or two. Anyhow, I'm recovering well now. I've still got a cough but that's the worst of it now.

Big bang signups in SPN fandom opened last week...I signed up for both sncross_bigbang and spn_j2_bigbang. I am still undecided which stories to use, but for now, I'm just working on all of them and we'll see how it ends up. Quite possibly, this strategy will mean I don't finish any of them. Who knows?

So...here's my progress on my potential SPN big bang stories. I set the target length to the big bang minimum until I pass it, then to the length I expect the finished story to be.

When the World is Burning. Het, so far, may end up as Wincest. This one has a complex plot and even six chapters in I'm not certain how I'm going to draw them all together. 36,000 words written.

A Season in Hell. Gen. This is one of those stories I really want to write, but I'm having trouble making it into something interesting to read. Hence the small count. 2250 words written.

Kingdom Come. Slash, with some het, or perhaps the other way around: my two couples (Dean/Bobby, John/Mary) can't decide which is the A plot and which is the B. If I make Mary the lead character I could save this one for ladiesbigbang, though. 10,300 words written.

The Debt (SPN/True Blood). Wincest although I haven't got to that part yet. Probably the easier of my two crossovers, but I'm still a bit iffy on the plot. 4,600 words written.

Hunter's Haven (SPN/Haven). Gen. Not much to say. I'm beavering away on it, but the story has this huge backstory which I never wrote down and I'm not sure it'll stand alone. 6,800 words written.
