On the subject of carrier bags, I like Tesco's policy. For every carrier bag you reuse (or own shopping bag you use), they give you a Clubcard "green" point. So I use my rucksack and reuse 4 carriers each week and get 5 points. I also use my carriers in my waste paper bin, instead of buying some sort of bin bags.
