General update

Wordcount on my Sweet Charity fic - 1160 words so far. I'd post one of those cool story meters but I have no clue how long this one is going to be. I can see the shape of the story, now; it's just going to take some time to get it out of my head and into coherent form.

Wordcount on the John Winchester fic - technically zero as I have only handwritten notes so far. I do, however, have several pages [checks] yeah five pages handwritten including the outlines for three chapters. My big stumbling block for this story is the reveal of the *how*. I have two choices, but they're both a pretty hard sell. I don't know whether to go for the version that feels right, or the one that might be more believable. I don't even know which one is the most believable. Once I figure out that one, the rest should be more straightforward: *who* is easy, *why* is obvious and *what* is my ending which I still don't see clearly, but that doesn't matter yet. This story needs to stay on the back burner until I've finished my Sweet Charity obligations. I think I have enough notes to pick it up when I'm done.

I skipped my regular cinema trip last week to catch up on some other stuff including the two fics mentioned. This weekend the film choices seem fairly thin: the only new movie that looks worth checking out is Cloverfield and the trailers aren't especially inspiring. I just can't stand that Blair Witch camera work. Maybe I'll just go see Sweeny Todd again.

In work news - it's quarterly results week which means stress, stress, stress for me. The actual results went surprisingly smoothly but I know better than to count my chickens before they hatch into scrambled egg. I've got a bunch of other stuff to do with the numbers before I can relax. Where's Charlie when you need him?

Oh! And one very important piece of news I almost forgot - [livejournal.com profile] geonncannon my copy of On The Air finally arrived. I can read it now!

In fact, what am I doing on LJ when I could be curled up with some hot chocolate and a brand new novel?

Later, folks.......
