Length is all about perspective, you managed to write 190,000 (was it?) so to us mortals of the writing world it seems long!

True, but Phoenix (http://creative-imperative.net/fiction/phoenix/) was an exception. It just needed a lot of words to tell the complete story.

The thing is, I can't tell a story in 500 words. I don't think anyone can, honestly. You can write a pretty intense scene, but actual plot takes more words than that. (And even porn has a plot, even if it's only from go to orgasm.) I just use however many words it takes to tell each story.

What's it up to now?

The finished second draft is 6750 words. All of 'em porn :-)
