I guess I thought of it as a supernatural drama. I always thought of Horror as slasher or movies where the killing is from the pov of the killer with no real resolve at the end.
I never really thought about where this one would go. I placed it with Jaws, ET,Close Encounters, Signs, etc. A real world/people situation where things get weird.
