Help, plz

I am in need of a little help, dear flist :-)

Is there anyone who uses a Mac or Linux-based computer (with Adobe reader or equivalent installed) and would be willing to "test drive" a couple of files for me?

It's just PDFs, but I need to know that they will display properly for everyone. My copy of Acrobat is very old so I'm less than confident about its capabilities :)

Also, if anyone's got an e-book reader that uses PDFs, and would be willing to help out in the same way?

Please comment with your email (if I don't already know it) if you can spare me five minutes to help. And thank you!

Doh... I meant to tell you I found someone last night! It just so happened to be the, um, person I spend all day every day IMing. ~facepalms~ She uses a Mac, and she said it looked fine!

That's great. I just need Linux testers then :-)

When I first started website stuff, I had a Mac, and I discovered that certain characters simply wouldn't display the same on both PC and Mac. Stuff like curly quotes: if you coded it for the Mac, it wouldn't display on the PC, and vice versa. Useless.

PDF should be different but as mine is ancient I want to be sure :-)
