Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to everyone!
Hope you all have a great time, however you ring in the new year. Personally, I'm planning to be asleep at midnight.
I didn't write all that much this year. Although two of these were big bang fics, so pretty long. But here's what I did write.
Prima Facie (Supernatural, slash, John/Dean)
The Exiles (Supernatural/Angel, gen, John Winchester, Kate Lockley)
Reap The Whirlwind (Supernatural, Het, Sam/Jess, Dean/Jo)
Wild At Heart (Sentinel, slash, Jim/Blair) - written for
slipperieslope who won me in the Sweet Charity auction.
Partners (Sentinel, slash, Jim/Blair) - written for
betagoddess
In July I posted parts of a SPN WIP, When the World is Burning, under lock so only those who asked to read it could see the story. It's still unfinished so I'm not including links. Hopefully I'll be able to pick that up soon and make a decent story out of it.
My Family and Other...Demons (Supernatural, gen) - written for spn_summergen.
Let It Snow (Supernatural, gen, Weechesters)
Home For Christmas (Sentinel, slash, Jim/Blair)
Aaand lastly, my Yuletide fic, The Artist. (Dollhouse, het, Sierra/Topher)
There's one other fic I want to mention, because although it was written and posted years ago, I just finished uploading it to AO3. Phoenix is the longest story I've ever written, even taking into account that I didn't write all of it myself. A Stargate SG-1 AU, it's nearly 200,000 words in 31 chapters. Posting it to AO3 gave me a reason to re-read the whole thing over the holidays and although I spotted a couple of things I would have done differently if I were re-writing it now (mostly places where I've not set the scene properly because I've assumed the reader will be familiar with the episodes), I think it still stands up pretty well. Perhaps not my best ever work, but a story I can be proud of.
On a more personal note...I treated myself to a new pair of shoes in the sales. This is them! Not quite as - er - bold as the crazy, insane shoes I bought last spring, but kinda close :-) I thought they'd take some breaking in but these are surprisingly comfortable. I mean, I've gotta be careful on the stairs, but I can walk in them. Super cool!

I'll have to try to write a little more TS fic this year.
