It's a funny old world...
Last week was just...weird. I haven't been online much and I didn't check my journals so if I've missed anything please let me know.
Last Sunday I went to karaoke with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
thanatos_kalos. 'Twas fun, but things started a lot later than we expected so I didn't get to stay very long. Nor did I sing. (With a bigger crowd of friends, and/or more JD, I might. But we were a small group and I was drinking lemonade.)
The next day I had to mail off a credit application. It was a freepost address but didn't come with one of those pre-addressed envelopes so I had to buy envelopes. Got to town, remembered I had to mail the application...wanna guess what I did? Yup - I bought stamps and forgot the envelopes! And that just typifies the kind of week I had.
It did not help that the clocks changed this weekend, so all the clocks in work were wrong today. I was late for everything! (No I don't have a watch - it broke so I've been using the clock on my phone and relying on the ones on the walls in work.)
If anyone has seen my brain, would you please send it back my way?
Poppy is recovering slowly from her surgery. She still won't walk on four legs, so I think she's still in pain, but the vet says it could take a month for her to start using that foot again, so we're not overly worried. The scar is healing nicely - no sign of infection - and she's getting the stitches pulled on Wednesday. After that, it's just a matter of time and encouraging her to exercise. (Until the next surgery, that is.)

sentinelbigbang is now open for signups! I'm modding the challenge, but I'm writing a story, too. At least, I'm going to try to. As with my other big bang fics, I'll be posting my regular progress reports in locked posts - the filter is opt-in so please comment if you're not already on it and want to be. (On LJ if you can see this post you're on the filter. No one's on it yet on DW.) Mostly I just post my word count and what I think about my progress, some details about the plot. Occasionally a short extract with a request for feedback.
And that's the state of Me. I'll wake up soon, I'm sure...
