Actors and actresses meme

Movie meme snagged from [livejournal.com profile] ghyste. Name you're favourite film starring...

Female actors:

01. Maggie Smith

I love A Room With A View and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is a classic but my favourite Maggie Smith film is Ladies In Lavender. It's one of those movies that actually makes me look forward to getting old.

02. Cher

Has she made any movies other than Mermaids?

03. Halle Berry

Gothika. One of my favourite movies ever.

04. Sharon Stone

So is Basic Instinct.

05. Sarah Michelle Gellar

You know what? I know she's made movies but I don't think I've seen any of them. Oh, wait, I have: Suburban Girl. Wins by default, but it's not very good.

06. Bette Davis

I know I should pick Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? but the meme says favourite film, not best performance. So I'll be honest: Watcher In The Woods.

07. Parker Posey

Uh...who? *checks IMDB* Oh, right. The Eye.

08. Michelle Yeoh

I have loved every movie of hers I've seen. But...Tomorrow Never Dies (What? I'm a Bond fan.)

09. Cameron Diaz

...has never made a good movie in her life. Oh, wait. IMDB says she appeared (uncredited) in Minority Report. There you go.

10. Katharine Hepburn

...never made a bad movie in her life (or perhaps bad movies were transformed into good ones by her presence). My favourite, for so many reasons: The Lion In Winter.

Male actors:

01. Alan Rickman

Easy. Snow Cake.

02. Robert Vaughn

The Towering Inferno...because it's so bad it's good.

03. Zac Efron

Hairspray.

04. Bruce Lee

Haven't seen any of his movies, don't plan to. So not my thing.

05. James Mason

It probably doesn't count as it was made for TV, but Salem's Lot. He was scary! Actual movie...Rebecca.

06. David Tennant

Am I allowed to pick a movie that hasn't been made yet? 'Cause he's been cast as Peter Vincent in the remake of Fright Night which could well be awesomer than awesome. No? Okay. Then Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

07. Denzel Washington

Another easy one: The Bone Collector.

08. Hugh Jackman

The Prestige.

09. Will Ferrell

If his name is in the credits, you'd have to pay me (a lot!) to make me see it. Bah!

10. Vincent Price

He did some amazing stuff but my choice is Witchfinder General.

Want 20 names, too? Comment and ask (fair warning, though - I'll probably give identical lists to everyone who comments).

The Bone Collector is brilliant, I'm always recommending it to people.

I'll take 20 names, please!
