In the news
I've seen loads of stories like this one about a 15-yr old seriously injured while 'tombstoning' this summer. Tombstoning isn't new: kids used to jump off the sluice gates into the Albert Dock when I lived in Liverpool. Every now and then security would tell them to move on; but that just cleared the way for a different lot of kids.
What's interesting me about the current craze for this, though, with the British press' penchant for blaming everything young people do wrong on computer games or violent movies...why haven't I seen a single article linking the increase in tombstoning among teens to Twilight?
