Cardiff has a castle in the city centre (not a ruin, though) and a modern Druid circle (from a past Eisteddfod). There’s also Castell Coch just outside Cardiff (also not a ruin). My favourite of the nearby castles is Chepstow, but there are lots to choose from in South Wales. Having no plan is good 👍
