Internet deprived again!

*sigh* My cable modem died last weekend. And I mean died. It's not a network problem, the modem is kaput. The good news: Virgin are going to replace it for free. The bad news: it'll take at least a week for a new modem to arrive, and when it does I doubt very much it'll be a trouble-free changeover.

So I am offline, except at work. I can't check my email from work because webmail is blocked by our firewall. I can *read* email via my phone but replying is...well, it doesn't always work. Right now the only reliable way to contact me (for those of you who don't have my phone number) is right here: LJ.

If I owe you email or comments - I apologise. I don't think I owe anyone a beta right now. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Andi - drop me a comment when you've arranged that get-together and I'll do my best to be there.

Anyone else - please let me know if there are big news/fic/meta posts I'm going to miss because I generally give up at -150 posts when I've missed days of LJ.

Now I must get back to actual work...

Okay. How about we meet in the main entrance of Parkway station? I believe it's ticket/barrier controlled, so that would be easiest. Sesa promises to be there at some point during the evening, depending on the situation with Orson. You said around 5pm, I believe? I'll email Mel to confirm. Sounds good. I can make it by 5 as long as the trains are still running. I know if it floods they sometimes put on a bus service instead and that takes longer.

You mean the pub I suggested? Walk out of Parkway station the same way the cars and buses leave - toward the main road. Turn right and follow the path around to the right (like a U-turn) and you can see it ahead. A white building (or it was the last time I was there) with the name of the pub in big letters. It's a five minute walk at most. Easy. But I'll show you the way :-)
