For UK folks
To all my UK friends with cable/sky TV - Flash Gordon premiers on Sci-Fi tonight.
For me, Flash will forever be that cheesy 80's movie with the Queen soundtrack, but this series isn't bad at all. It's an interesting updating of the story, with some serious underlying theme in a show that never takes itself too seriously. The first few episodes are...well, typical of the early episodes of most good sci-fi shows, but by mid-season the show really took off. And it had a real ending to the season, so if it doesn't get renewed (no word on that, so far as I know) you're not left with a cliffhanger. Check it out!

"Flash, Flash, I love you, but we only have 14 hours to save the Earth!"
"Gordon's alive!"

LOL! Yes, that line makes me laugh and cringe every time. Nothing that cool in the series, but I still recommend it.

Sadly, I don't have cable or Sky, so won't get to see it :-(

I must admit I've not heard anything too enthusiastic about this series, but I think my curiosity bone is going to insist on me at least checking out the pilot episode so a big thanks for the link :)
