Life has pretty much sucked lately. It's nothing I can share, but I was pretty damn disappointed the world didn't end yesterday as I was promised. Though I was under the impression that Armageddon is scheduled for 2012, so perhaps there's still some hope.

My fic writing has pretty much sucked, too. My wip folder is starting to look very crowded. I must find a way out of the pit soon, or I won't be able to sign up for secret santas.

I did sign up for marishna's picture challenge. This was before I started wishing the world would end, but I had so much fun with the last picture challenge, And at least this one isn't an exchange, so if I can't do it, I won't be letting anyone down. Anyhow, the prompts came out today and I really wish I could show you the pic she sent me because it works so well for my current state of mind.

Last time the challenge was SPN only, I think, but this time she made it a multi-fandom challenge. I originally signed up to write SPN, but when I saw the pic-prompt I instantly thought Dexter! (That should give you some idea what it's like.) So at first I thought maybe a SPN/Dexter crossover would work. But though I'd love for that to work, I can't actually make the two shows mesh in my head. Instead, I'm going to try something a little different. It'll be a crossover with Sentinel instead, and nothing like the last crossover I did.

Here's hoping some Jim-and-Blair can make life a little brighter.

Hope life is kinder to you soon hon. It has a nasty habit of being sucky in several departments at once, and there's never much you can do about that except survive... grrrrrr.

What is up with the general suckiness of life in recent days, sigh? I have had more flist buds than ever moaning about their lives and I am right there with 'em all, believe me. My mom's cancer is trying to come back, my thyroid mass didn't get all destroyed and is doing its best to make me sick again, my son just had to be sent to a psychiatric hospital for a week and it was living hell for a month before THAT as his mental illness grew steadily worse, the brakes went out on my car and I've no money to fix them and yet strangely work still expects me to get myself down there by hook or by crook; too bad we don't have transporter technology, sigh. So, yeah, I feel ya, whatever it is you're going through; and as a huge fan of both SPN and TS, I say YAY times two for such a crossover!

I know. Most of my flist has been labelling 2008 the worst year ever...I didn't agree with them until recently.

Huh, yeah, I saw that. Being slightly more grounded in reality than most SPN fen seem to be, I'm just wondering why those poor guys aren't allowed a private life.
