I read about this on The F Word yesterday. I figured I'd wait 'till I could think coherently before I'd post...but today I'm just as boiling mad.

Today, the ass issued an apology. He didn't mean to offend "individual homosexual persons, but the promoters of gay culture". Dude, gay culture is about individual persons, and we have as much fucking right to promote our culture as you do your faith.

To paraphrase his own words: "Let us make it obligatory for homosexuals Christians to have their backsides tattooed with the slogan SODOMY RELIGION CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE YOUR HEALTH and their chins with FELLATIO THE BIBLE KILLS."

How would you like that? Asshole.

This is hate speech. He should be prosecuted - this is clearly illegal under UK law, and the bastard posted it on the internet: it should be an open and shut case for the CPS. But I bet it won't happen.

What amazes me was the number of idiots on the Daily Mail website (ok, amaze is probably the wrong word!) are agreeing under the guise of free speech and I'm sorry, but free speech should not cover this kind of vile and uninformed comments!

Religion has certainly killed more people than homosexuality (the Crusades alone, geez). And more straight women in India have AIDs than all the gay people in Britain because they aren't allowed to ask their cheating bastard husbands to use a condom, much less refuse to have sex with them. And let's not even get into the AIDs crisis in American (straight!) teenagers because the religious fundies over here have prevented adequate sex education of even the 'use a condom you dumb bastards' sort because obviously abstinence solves all our problems! Argh.
