Santa-ish musings

You know the thing that always confuses me about the whole Santa thing?

It's not how he can come down the chimney even if it's blocked by a gas fire.

It's not how the reindeer can fly when they don't even have wings, or how they must by flying faster than light to get around every chimney in the world in just one night.

It's not even how come no one's ever snapped a pic, because I see NORAD have some fantastic videos of Santa's journey on YouTube :-)

No. It's how does it happen that everyone in the world, except me, knows how to get Santa to deliver pressies on their behalf. Why am I left out of the secret?

I mean, it never fails. Every year Santa delivers huge piles of gifts, but the labels always say they're from people I know. Not from him. And that's okay - I mean, I didn't ask Santa for anything this year, so I certainly don't expect a special gift in return for one lousy mince pie! But how come I have to deliver my own gifts to all my people, when everyone else gets Santa-service?

It doesn't seem fair.

Hmm...I don't know either, maybe you have to write to him?

LOL, maybe! D'you think that would work?

I'm afraid this is what happens when I start reading philosophy: my head starts throwing up all sorts of weird questions.

Yeah, I really think you need to make a list and then mail it to him. You can send mail to him in Canada, using the Postal Code "H0H 0H0" *g*
