I finished a fic today! I know I said my Dreamwalker sequel would be my first of 2009, but I guess I was wrong :-)
I wanted to take a break from that fic, mostly to do some research before I write the next bit as it involves some medical stuff I need to make sure is right. But I still had a need to write something, so I finally pulled out my notes for my last Dean/John fic. I actually finished this story ages ago, but the only copy was on my laptop which promptly stopped working, and at the time I just couldn't face re-writing the whole thing from scratch. A couple of days ago I uncovered my notes and started work again. So now it's done! It needs a proof-read and a beta, but I'm in PWP territory so that won't take long.
I've been thinking about signing up for big bang with the Dreamwalker sequel. It will certainly be long enough and that would "force" me to finish it. The downside, of course, is that means it wouldn't get posted until the summer, even if I finish it early. Sign-ups aren't for a few weeks, so I'll decide then.
I have one other WIP I really want to get finished: The Exiles which is a SPN/Angel crossover. It's a story I really wanted someone else to write, so I could read it, but no one did, so I started it myself. Actually, I think I started it right after last year's Asylum con, but I kinda drifted away from it at some point.
*Yawn* I'm off to watch Rome as I found S2 on DVD in the sales.
