You lost me at "angels"...

...and, ironically, I'm not talking SPN. I'm likely being too optimistic, but I still have a slight hope that SPN's angel storyline will play out in a way I'll like.

Nah, I'm talking Demons. As is typical of me, I forgot it was on on Saturday, made a note to watch the Sunday repeat and forgot that, too. (This is why I love iPlayer. Sucks that ITV doesn't have an on-demand service.) Anyhooo; I downloaded the ep instead and...nah, it ain't getting any better. Okay, so the angel was a demon in disguise (take note, Kripke, 'cause that'd be cool) but still. You'd think at least one of those kids would know there ain't no such thing. And you'd think it would occur to the parents that the little girl had actually seen something and, you know, ask her about it???

Not getting any better. Mina is still hot, though.

In fic-land...

My SPN/Angel crossover, The Exiles, now stands at over 10,000 words. I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] sncross_bigbang with this fic. I shouldn't have any trouble making the minimum word count; the trick is going to be finishing it. But I'm coming up to the climactic scene. My trouble is that, to make it a decent climax something's got to go wrong. You can't have the denouement go precisely to plan. The wizard must fly off without Dorothy... My trouble is the only twist I've come up with so far makes a certain character look stupid. This character is not stupid. Not sure how I'm gonna resolve this one.

True, unless you count their on-demand Catch-up service, ITV Player :-)

Here's the link for Demons (http://www.itv.com/CatchUp/Video/default.html?ViewType=5&Filter=33736)

Thanks. I meant there's no catch-up on TV...or at least not on cable, I wouldn't know about Sky. I can't watch an hour-long thing on my PC; it's just not comfortable.

A downloaded avi I can watch on TV, and I have iPlayer via my cable tv, but for some reason ITV is the only channel that has no catch-up or on-demand.

Let me rephrase what I just wrote ... you need to hook your computer to your TV!

The AVI is available on bittorrent sites (just went to www.eztv.it which is my favourite tracker for TV and they've got torrent links for episodes 1 and 2.) ... do you bittorrent?

[identity profile] morgan32.livejournal.com 2009-01-13 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I got the torrent or I couldn't have commented on the ep :-) But I have a "rule" about illegal downloads: I only do it if I plan to buy the DVD when it's available. It's no less illegal, but it suits my personal ethics that way. So I had to break my rules to catch this one ep.

You're probably right about the computer. Actually my TV does have a PC-compatible socket but the way my room is arranged I'd need a cable much longer than I've found for that to work. And I'm a little reluctant to invest in new stuff when it's becoming clearer that I need to junk this PC as soon as I can afford a better one.
