briarwood | Fic progress this weekend

I figure most people who read my LJ don't want to be bothered with my progress posts. But I want to keep posting this for me, because if I don't I won't keep my eye on the target. So I'm going to create a filter and flock these posts. Poll below: tell me if you want in or out.

I only worked on one fic this weekend: Reap The Whirlwind for

spn_j2_bigbang. This was mostly typing up pages already written. I should add that, while the counter makes it look almost done, this is just the min. word count for the challenge. Once I hit the 20k mark I'll keep moving the goalposts until it's a finished story.

I have reached the part where a certain character is going to be badly hurt. I'm actually finding this hard to write: I have a clear idea of what is going to happen but describing it is proving tough. I guess it's a bit like my porn problem: I've written hurt!character so often it's getting hard to make it feel like something new. Although this is new and it's important to the story. I'm not just doing it for the sake of the H/C.
