About my fics
For those waiting for the next chapter of Carnival of Souls...I was all ready to post last night. Then I re-read the chapter as I do before posting and thought, no. I just couldn't do it. Y'all know I'm fond of my cliffhangers, but the way this chapter ended was, I think, too much of one. I know I would have hated to read it. So I'm gonna add some stuff to make it a bit more resolved before I post. (And by "some stuff" I mean about a thousand words.) Apologies for making you wait, folks, but it'll be a nice long chapter when it's ready. Hopefully this weekend or Monday.
Also here's the deal with Cry Wolf: The sequel I had planned for Cry Wolf was always going to be AU in the Supernatural 'verse. But my planned fic draws heavily on the demon mytharc of the series. AU is one thing, but I cannot write this unless it feels at least plausible within the canon. When I started the fic, that was no problem. Now, it might be, but I'm not sure. I don't mind being Jossed, but not on a wip.
The upshot is I can't write this until I see how the canon plays out - at least to the end of this season. Spoilers suggest at least some of my speculation will either be confirmed or blown out of the water. At that point, I'll know whether my planned sequel will work. (Also, I know there's a werewolf ep coming up - I can't wait to see if Cry Wolf works within the canon.
That said I am going to keep writing in this 'verse regardless. If I can't write Last Exit, I'll come up with a new story with the four of them working together, which - RL allowing - I intend to work on over the summer.
