Fic, friday and...

My giant fic-of-doom is chugging along. Word count now stands at 64900 (ish) and I have two chapters and an epilogue left to write. I don't think I'm going to meet my self-imposed deadline of finishing by next week, though. I am giving serious thought to not letting myself watch the new SPN eps until I've got a completed first draft...the trouble with that plan is there'll be spoilers all over my flist ruining my willpower. I skipped my Saturday movie last week to write, and now this week I have three movies I want to see. Normally I'd flip a coin and see two of the three, but I simply don't have time if I'm going to keep this fic on track. So I have a choice of three: Flashbacks of a Fool (Daniel Craig's new film), Fools Gold (Matthew Mcconaughey) or Happy Go Lucky with Sally Hawkins. I suspect the last will win 'cause Sally Hawkins is great and I'm far more likely to see a film for a female lead than I am for a male. Films with male leads I watch if the plot looks good. Films with women I'm more likely to take a chance even if the plot looks dodgy. But this one sounds good: I like indepenent films.

Lots more going on but I'm out of time - got to get breakfast and go to work. Happy Friday, everyone!
