Work, Watchmen and...
Mar. 4th, 2009 12:39 pmThat work press release I was stressing over? It happened yesterday and today there's no press coverage at all. Zero. There isn't usually very much, but I'm used to seeing at least a mention in a couple of newspapers. I guess there's plenty of other bad news everywhere else. Ah, well. It saves me having to deal with inquiries :-)

They've finally posted the cinema schedule for next week. There's no question what film I'm going to see, as this is Watchmen week. But I'm dithering over when.
The Friday showings are 4.15 and 5.15 (well, actually they're doing a Thursday midnight showing but that's not on my radar). I could go straight from work on Friday. When it's a film I really want to see I like to catch the Friday show, especially if, as in this case, it's a movie I know most of my flist will be talking about. Best way to avoid spoilers is see it first!
The Saturday times are 10.15 and 12.45. I could make the 10.15 - in fact that's quite tempting as I'd get home early for once. The 12.45 would fit what's become my usual Saturday routine of Cafe Nero with Mel followed by movie and grabbing take-out on my way home.
I'm dithering because I have next week off and I want to spend most of the week writing my big bang fics. Or, rather finishing them. That's easiest if I don't break up my momentum so seeing the film on Friday makes more sense, but it also breaks my routine and I've been getting kind of OCD about stuff like that lately.

I'm still deaf in one ear and it's driving me crazy! Oh...I didn't post about that before, did I? It started last week, a bit of pain (nothing bad) and a swelling in my right ear, which was making it hard to hear. I thought it was a bite or something. But it's not going away, and there's nothing visible there according to Mum.
It's not getting worse, and it's definitely in the outer part of my ear (not the middle or inner ear, which would require a trip to the doctor). And, okay, saying I'm deaf is exaggerating (and I shouldn't do that, I know, bad Morgan), but it's like wearing just one earplug all the freaking time.
And I had to buy new headphones for my iPod because my usual in-ear 'phones were hurting too much. Me and my iPod = OTP: this was serious :-)
At least the movies are always loud enough that it won't matter. How's that for a silver lining?
