Food is fun!

I had lunch at Yo Sushi with thanatos_kalos today. Eating there is so much fun! All these exquisite sushi dishes run past you on a conveyor belt and you just grab what you want to eat. Then at the end they just count the empties to calculate your bill. Of course, that means you've got to be careful not to eat too much, which would be really easy as almost every dish looks fantastic.

I am definitely going to eat there again. Probably far more often than I should. Still, it's healthy food, so I can feel virtous about that.

After sushi I saw New Moon at the cinema...it's a far better film than Twilight but that's not saying much and I still found it terribly sick-making. Bella is so freaking wet; evidently between movies she's lost even the teeny bit of backbone she showed toward the end of the previous film. I think it's fantastic that a movie so wholly in a female POV is so popular, but the thought of someone so pathetic being a role model for a whole generation is scary. Which the film is not (and I guess that's my real problem with the franchise - vampires and werewolves are supposed to be scary goddammit! Those werewolves looked like giant teddy bears. And don't get me started on vegetarian sparkly vampires.)

Tomorrow I must marzipan my Christmas cakes and plan how I'm going to decorate them.
