claudiapriscus is the latest in sncross_bigbang and it's a Supernatural/Dexter crossover. Sam and Dean come to Miami in pursuit of some vampires, and when Dexter figures out Dean is a serial killer who's supposed to be dead already (twice!) he thinks all his birthdays have come at once. Her Dexter-voice is pitch-perfect and the plot ends with just the right twist.

Sis talked me into house-sitting for a friend of hers next week. It seems like a sweet deal, actually: I get the house to myself and she's got broadband and the full Sky package, so I won't be bored. It's a bit of a journey to work, but the buses will get me there, a wee bit later than usual. And the rail station is within walking distance so I can still go to the movies on Wednesday. It's a lovely, quiet area...I hope I don't get too used to it.
I may be losing count, but I think yesterday makes it seven weeks since I sprained this ankle. I'm almost back to normal, but I don't feel like it's still improving. Hopefully I'm wrong about that. I tried wearing different shoes yesterday - nothing stupid, just not the old-lady shoes I've been wearing since it happened. I'm not sure if it was just the change but the ankle was really aching by the time I got home. Still, I can walk without the cane now, albeit with a limp, and it's only stairs that are a real problem.
Now I must turn the damned internet off or I'll never finish this summergen story.
Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend!
