briarwood: (TS Blair VoS)
I am in Buxton for a couple of days. Land of opera, free mineral water and snow in July. No sign of snow this week, though, fortunately.

I am glad to have a few days out of the office. I swear, I thought since I’m pretty good with Excel, that skill would transfer to PowerBI and DAX. Instead I’m tearing my hair out because DAX won’t let me use more than two parameters in an AND or OR formula and I need them! (Okay, that probably made zero sense but DAX is my work-obsession just lately. Glad to be away from it.)

Tomorrow if all goes well I get my hot air balloon ride. I’m not holding out hope - so far every attempt has been cancelled due to unsuitable weather. [Part of me wants that to continue. This is a bucket-list thing, so if it never happens, will that make me immortal? Oh, no, actually I really don’t want that.]

I am writing a Sentinel story. And there I thought none of my imaginary friends could drown out the Stargate crew at the moment. But I had this thought, and the thought became an idea and suddenly I have 7,000 words of an AU that’s not really an AU, but is kind of… I’m going to finish writing this because I must, it’s shouting at me! But if I can I’ll leave editing it for a while. I really want to keep going with my Phoenix sequel first.

But on the subject of Sentinel - does anyone remember what car Blair drives? I used to be able to Google this stuff but I’m not getting anywhere with that.

It’s not super-important; just a throwaway line in the fic. But I like to get these things right. Most of my TS episodes are on video tape, so a quick rewatch isn’t an option, even if i could remember which ep to look for. There was an episode where they made a big deal about his car, wasn’t there?
